Journalism Experience
• Production, The Weekly 15, University of Mississippi, January 2010-May 2010; Anchored, produced, operated cameras, operated teleprompter, and worked in the control room including switcher, audio, and video. A weekly 15-minute show (later changed to thirty minutes) put together by students that covered news and events in Oxford, MS.
• Reporter, NewsWatch UMTV-MS, University of Mississippi, August 2007-May 2008; January 2009-May 2009; August 2009-December 2009; Covered stories relating to the university and the city of Oxford, MS. Shot, wrote, and edited all stories.
• Investigative Intern, KEYE TV, CBS affiliate, Austin, TX; June 2007-August 2007; December 2007-January 2008; Worked with the investigative reporter on solving stories and discovering evidence. Secured exclusive story of the welcoming reception of the Austin Police Chief, wrote scripts, called beats, and provided story ideas.
• Crew member, NewsWatch UMTV-MS, University of Mississippi ; January 2008-December 2008; Operated cameras, teleprompter, switchboard, floor manager and designed graphics.
• Contributing Reporter, The Daily Mississippian, University of Mississippi, March 2007, 2008; Wrote an annual article for the campus newspaper on Austin, TX South By Southwest music festival for Life and Arts.
• Reporter, Multimedia Investigative Team, Student Media Center-University of Mississippi, February 2008-April 2008; Worked with a team of print and broadcast students. Put together a series of investigative stories, which aired on NewsWatch and were printed in the daily student newspaper The Daily Mississippian.
• Reporter, 92.1 Rebel Radio, University of Mississippi, August 2007-December 2010; Reported the news at the beginning of the hour for the campus radio station.
